Not self contained, I.e., I thought that each photo would be enclosed in cellophane or something like that? You have to glue/tape each photo on. They do include sticky spots for you to use, but that is not enough for one day. I did have some photos fall off before we got home. So ideally you will add tape as well. They do include sort of like a black thing to string up, you have to put them through the holes. I did buy my own black string which I thought was better, and then strung through the holes which is sort of challenging because you have to estimate how much space between etc. All in all, it was quite nice and made a good statement of celebration and congratulations.It arrived very quickly and the quality is very good!Glue tabs were hard to use had to use packing tape for pictures to stay attached scotch tape didn’t workPerfect!I didn’t print out photos for mine. It’s not terrible but putting it together was time consuming and just not worth it to me. Nice idea but just not practical to me. Served it’s purpose. Would have been nicer if I put photos on it. I just didn’t have the time. If you do it is a nice decoration. Just don’t let it get wet. It drizzled the day we set it up for my sons graduation party. Than it all warped up.Very cute banner - BUT - you have to put the whole thing together - which is fine..... but also - they don't give you enough sticky stuff to put more than one piece on each picture. Some had one piece and some had two. And after a day or so, the pictures started falling off the banner. I used my own double sided tape to compensate for the lack of adhesive included with the package, but neither were strong enough to keep the pictures from falling off after about a day. So be mindful of that - or maybe use glue if you don't plan to re-use the banner.This photo banner is amazing. It's very versatile and you can use it in so many different ways. You can adjust the length of the banner according to the space you have. It creates a beautiful memory and it's a great gift to give to your graduate. I love it!
