The quality print and matte finish both complement each other well when using as backdrops. The plastic corner pieces that hold the panels together leave a little to be desired. First, these don't allow the panel to sit flush in a secured manner. So even though I wanted to focus on the product and lighting, I had to spend most of the time trying to frame the shot so that the gaps wouldn't show between the panels, and so that I can squeeze the image within the 2x2 panels without showing the edges and beige plastic clips in each corner.If you're doing closeup photography only then this should work just fine. But if you're using a wide angle lens or have larger items that you don't want to do macro shots of, you'll need larger panels for sure. I had purchased 2 sets but I couldn't find a clean way to bring it all together so we returned everything.Great backdrop for my cakes! Yes, sometimes you may experience a gap between the pieces, but you can just push something behind it to close the gap.the bottom of what is shown is definitely darker than what you receive. overall quality is good, but value for money is meh. had i known one of the boards was practically white marble i wouldn't have purchased. pictures are misleading and look like they are 150x150 jpgs blown up and because of that are very blurry.These are pretty handy to have around to use as a quick background for videos or photos. I used it for an explainer video and looked much better than my desk as a background. They aren't super sturdy, so you do have to be mindful that they are foam core, but they hold up pretty well.You might want to go ahead and invest in extra corner clips... they are so easy to lose, so have a few extra on hand so you aren't scrambling to engineer some kind of system to hold them up.Opened from box and product was already damaged upon arrival. Looks nice still deciding if I should return it or just use it the way it is.I kind of felt silly buying something like this. If your house isn't always spotlessly clean but you want to take some pictures of stuff without clutter in the background, this is really useful. I purchased the heavier clamp separately and they work great. There is a bit of a gap or seam between the two pieces. I just sort of shoot around that. I'm not sure what you'd do to fix it or if it matters as I'm not a professional photographer but I thought I'd mention it in case it is an issue for someone else. I've ended up using this a lot and find it quite useful. I would definitely purchase another one in the future just to have a different backdrop.Love this my pictures for my products look awesome. Great price and just what I needed to make better pictures for my products.I love the concept of these, and was excited to try them out. When I opened the box both boards already have some damage, with no damage to the packaging. Makes me question how durable they will be. For the price I expected them to last a year or so, but it doesn’t look like they will hold up that long.
