If, like me, you've been searching for peppermint straws with a cream filling, keep searching. These taste okay, the outside is like a peppermint candy cane, but instead of cream inside, there is a very pale pink substance that is also crunchy but more delicate than the outside, and that has a softer flavor. I chose the fattest straw in the box figuring it might have the best chance for a cream filling, but no, the same crunchy stuff. See photo attached. It is hard candy with a lighter crunchy filler. And the price!!! Alas, the elusive peppermint straw I adored as a child has not been found. Was it ever even real, I wonder?? Yes, it was!!My Mom loves these and she has been looking for them for years. I have been buying every brand I come across to help her find the right ones. None have been right this fat. The peppermint was either too strong or there was barely any cream in the middle. These are exactly what I was looking for. The peppermint is not overbearing and there is plenty of cream in the middle. JUST AMAZING!This is the third batch i’ve ordered from here. The first two were delicious, just like I remembered as a kid. But this third batch is Terrible, leaving a greasy film in my mouth, and tasteless. I’m really upset. They’re expensive, especially when they aren’t Prime and I have to pay postage. I would send them back if I could, but I can’t so they’re going in the garbage. I’ll never order from this company again. The cinnamon were the same way. What a disappointment.I bought these as I get sick to my tummy often and someone told me to try peppermint.. well these seem to do the trick and as so tasty that I eat then with good tummy too.. I have purchased two times so far from seller.After reading the reviews raving about the creamy centers of these candies I ordered a bag because I also have wonderful childhood memories of them. Sadly the candy arrived and there is NO creamy filling. Dry as a bone. Peppermint is good but....... The centers are NOT creamy. Either too old or possibly freezing ruins them? Very disappointed.I'm so disappointed in these mint straws. I was expecting the same type that I'd had before- a hard peppermint candy with a softer, kinda creamy center. These have a very odd greasy center! It was to the point that after the flavor was gone, I felt as if I had to spit out the flavorless gobs of goo left over.exactly like the ones my mother bought when i was a child. shiny smooth outer with creamy center. i have been looking for these for years!!! pricey but i finally found the right ones.Wonderful, strong peppermint flavor. Great texture! But eat them quickly - in our Pacific Northwest winter, after a few months they were all stuck together!
